April is National Volunteer Month and we’ve found two organizations that can really use your help.

Achieve Services

This is an organization that is near and dear to the hearts of every member of the Kris Lindahl Team. We utilize their services in our marketing efforts and couldn’t be happier with them.

Achieve Services is, in their words, “a day training and habilitation program serving adults with developmental disabilities.”

Right now, Achieve is seeking eBay Store Assistants. These volunteers will take photos and enter the items’ descriptions into a spreadsheet for the organization’s eBay store. It will only take a few days every month, but exact times are quite flexible.

On March the 5th Blaine City Council held a meeting to address three housing projects.

Covering 92-acres the Wagamon Ranch is situated along Harper Street, North of 129th Lane. The first reading of rezoning the property from Farm Residential to Develop Flex will be held by council members. The final vote won’t take place until the 19th during the March council meeting.

Questions will be asked regarding the rezoning on the 5th, but the final plant and conditional use permit will be reserved for the March 19th council meeting. The proposal by Bryan Schafer (Planning and Community Development Director) of Gorham Development, is to construct 105 new homes. These will be single family units, and one of the four remaining homes would be removed.
