Sure, Blaine is home to the TPC, which provides us bragging rights galore. But, did you know that Gary Player sang the accolades of our Victory Links? "Victory Links has some of the best public greens I have ever played," he said at the end of July 2014.
The golf season is winding down and golfers are feeling desperate. I don’t blame you – I, too have been dreading the day the clubs go to the back of the garage. The good news for Blaine golfers is that Victory Links has their 2014 early fall rates in effect right now. Getting your last golf jones in for the year just became more affordable.
From Saturday, August 30 to Friday, September 12, 2014, any time of the day Monday through Friday after 2:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, rates are as follows:
- Patron Card Holders pay $30 for 18 holes, riding or walking. The fee for 9 holes, riding or walking is $20.
- Non-Patron Card Holders pay $35 for 18 holes and $22, for 9 holes.
- Specials for anyone Saturday/Sunday before 2 p.m: $39, 18 holes riding or walking or $25, 9 holes riding or walking.
I have a number of clients that are new to Blaine and are probably wondering what in the heck we're talking about here. Victory Links Golf Course is located at the National Sports Center and it is arguably the most popular track in town, if you’re not a member of the TPC. Developed 11 years ago, it’s a somewhat challenging 18-hole course.
Soon, we’ll be trading our golf clubs for cross-country ski poles. I don’t know about you, but I want to eke out every last drop of summer.
By the way, have you considered a golf course home in Blaine? There are some amazing properties. Check them out here.
