Sure, spring is officially underway, but our weather has been erratic lately so many Blaine gardens sit, waiting. The weather folks say that we’re in for rain or cloudy weather through Friday here in Blaine. This coming weekend, however, looks quite promising if you’ve been longing to get out in the garden. Look for sunshine and a high of 79 degrees on Saturday and 80 degrees on Sunday. Yeah – ideal gardening weather.

Since new growth can be damaged by frost, you don’t want to cut back or prune any frost-sensitive shrubs or other plants until after the first week in May. But there are lots of other things you can get done this weekend.
