It’s hard to believe that -- what with the polar vortex pressing down on us and news of weather-related school closures still ringing in our ears -- spring arrives in less than a month. Well, at least our temperatures are out of the negative range and, as I write this, it’s a positively balmy 0 degrees outside.
Maybe the area’s developers and builders decided we needed something cheery to take our mind off all this weather stuff – something to get us outdoors that doesn’t require snowshoes or skis. Whatever the reason, the Spring 2014 Parade of Homes kicks off this weekend in Blaine.
If you’ve been mulling the purchase of a newly constructed home don’t miss this chance to see the amazing new homes in Blaine. Prices for new homes in Blaine are pretty much all over the map – a price to fit just about anyone’s budget.
Ok, before you decide to head out and brave the elements this weekend, can I offer you some advice?
Most of the developments have a real estate agent on-site. Since it’s a given that, if you’re reading this I’m your agent, you need to let this thieving, client-stealing – no, just kidding. You need to let the really nice agent know that you’re already working with an agent. New home agents are pretty cool and typically won’t hound you if they know you’re committed to working with another agent.
I’m happy to go with you to tour the Parade of Homes but the problem is that there’s only one me and tons of you guys so it’s a bit challenging. Do give me a call though when you’ve chosen a date and I’ll be happy to see if my schedule is clear.
Blaine New Homes
There are 27 developments on Blaine’s Spring Parade of Homes tour. The least expensive on the list are the townhomes of Legacy Creek, where prices start at $250,000.
You’ll find new construction at the top of the price scale in Aspen Woods of Blaine Lakes. The model is priced at $749,900 and it features what the builders are calling an upstairs “romantic owner’s retreat,” with a private sitting room, a double-sided fireplace and his and her closets.
This home is huge -- 5,078 square feet with a total of five bedrooms. Rachel would make me hire a full-time housekeeper if we lived here. Can’t you just picture our “romantic” fireplace glass with Victoria’s smudgy little handprints all over it? Anyway, this may be a perfect fit for large families or for anyone that wants a lot of space.
In the middle of the Blaine new construction home price range are some pretty amazing new homes. Check out the 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom rambler that features a stone fireplace, ceramic flooring, custom built-ins and a pretty prestigious address – all for $514,900.
This is the 66th annual Parade of Homes and it’s presented by the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC).
It happens from March 1, 2014 through March 30, from Thursdays through Sundays noon to 6:00 pm.
