Blaine, Minnesota is home to the beautiful Lakeside Commons Park and Beach. Located at 3020 Lake Parkway in Blaine, it’s only about a mile off of Radisson Road. The park offers canoe and kayak rentals, a boathouse, a splash pad and of course, the beach.
The park has only been around for three years and stays busy. Here is a guide to what you’ll find while visiting Lakeside Commons Park and Beach.
People love the sandy beach at Lakeside. They also enjoy taking the little ones to the splash pad and playgrounds. Rent a kayak, canoe, or paddle boat for the day, if you want to be in the water. You can also bring the family out for a picnic at the picnic pavilion. The boathouse offers concessions, too.
Finally, you can enjoy the volleyball court, walking trails and open play fields. Don’t worry, they also have public restrooms here.
Admission and Location
The park runs along the heart of The Lakes development by 109th. Admission is free as long as you are a Blaine resident, so make sure to bring your driver’s license.
If you happen to bring a guest or you are visiting from another town, admission is $5 for a parking permit or $25 for a season pass. Parking permits can be purchased at the park or Blaine City Hall.
The only additional fees at the Lakeside Commons Park and Beach are for renting a canoe, kayak or paddle boat. They cost just $7 an hour.
The beach is open from 10am – 8pm and the Park is open from 5am-10pm. The splash pad hours are 10am- 6pm. The Boathouse hours include:
- Mondays through Wednesdays from 1pm – 6pm
- Thursdays from noon to 9pm
- Fridays from 1pm – 6pm
- Weekends from noon-6pm
